The College is hiring a full-time tenure track faculty for the Parent Education Program. This faculty will provide instruction in parent education to students (primarily parents and children’s teachers) in parent cooperative preschools, childcare, and other community-based settings, and/or provide online instruction both at the college and in the community. Teaching responsibilities include a balance among parent education teaching, lab modeling and participation, cooperative preschool board support/advising, and developing classes related to family life and children. Course assignments may include day, evening, and weekend classes, and class load is 18 hours per week, with day/evening segments integral to classes which may require hours ranging from 9am to 10pm during the month. Additional responsibilities may include promoting the program, assisting the program coordinator, working with an Advisory Council, and participating in monthly faculty meetings and in-services as scheduled (with faculty input).
