About NorthLeaf Spanish Multiage
The early childhood years are filled with many exciting milestones, as children learn to walk, to talk, and to actively explore and interpret the world around them. The Spanish Multiage Class provides a warm, nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for them to grow and learn during this time – all while also exposing them to the Spanish language.
The Spanish Multiage Class is for children who will be between 6 months and 5 years old by August 31st. In addition, younger infants are welcome once they turn 6 months old anytime during the academic year.
The class is taught by Maestra Leonor and meets once a week on Saturday mornings.
Each class includes…

Large motor play in the outdoor play areas;

Circle time featuring songs, stories, puppets, flannel board activities, musical instruments, and dance;

Snack time;
-
Free play at the various centers in the classroom – including art, sensory, home, block, fine motor manipulative, and more;

Closing circle time to say goodbye.
Maestra Leonor
Leonor Lopez teaches our Spanish Multiage Class. She is Colombian and has been working as a teacher for more than 20 years. She has a bachelor’s degree and specialization in education. She is passionate about working with children and seeing the world through them. She arrived in Seattle in 2014 and since 2015 has worked in cooperative preschools developing curriculum based on play and immersion in Spanish. Read more.
